THE REBIRTH OF BRYANT’S BREAKFAST

Bryant’s Breakfast (Bryant’s), an award-winning* eatery that has been a culinary staple of the Mid-South for over 50 years, now has a new owner. Phil Bryant, the prior owner and son of founder Jimmy Bryant, has “passed the torch” to a local investor group. The Pickler Law Firm, located in Collierville, Tennessee, preserved the iconic brand by handling the sale and negotiations of the business.

“It was a tough decision selling our family restaurant – not just because of the personal history, experiences, and memories made, but because we didn’t want it to go into the wrong hands,” said Bryant. “Our main goal was to find the perfect person who would continue Bryant’s legacy for many years to come. We are elated to have found the ‘right’ people who have purchased the restaurant with the full intention of maintaining the heart and soul of Bryant’s, which many Memphians have come to know and love.”

Jimmy and Jane Bryant opened the restaurant in the Parkway Village area in 1968. Nine years later, the restaurant moved to its current location on Summer Avenue. Starting as a small BBQ joint, huge success was found when their now-famous breakfast menu was introduced.

The buyer was one of several competitive bidders on Bryant’s earlier this year. After a period of careful due-diligence by The Pickler Law Firm, selected bids were presented to Mr. Bryant. On Monday, March 1st, 2021, the iconic Memphis landmark, Bryant’s, was officially sold. There is no date set for the reopening at this point, but Memphians can look forward to the famous, made-from-scratch biscuits in the very near future.
